ASCOT RACECOURSE

Following a long-standing association with Ascot Racecourse and the Royal Meeting, Champagne Bollinger is since 2014 “The Official Champagne of Ascot” and “The Official Champagne of Royal Ascot".

Since Ascot Racecourse was founded in 1711 this is the first time an “Official Champagne” has been appointed. Bollinger has however had a long term partnership with Ascot and been present at the Racecourse since the 19th century. The relationship has evolved over the years from single race sponsorship, to a permanent Bollinger lounge bar in the Grandstand enclosure and two exclusive branded bars in the heart of the Royal Enclosure Gardens during the Royal Meeting.

During Royal Ascot 2016, which runs from 14th-18th June, Champagne Bollinger will have two exclusive Bollinger branded bars with their own red-carpet gardens, in the heart of the Royal Enclosure Gardens, and one larger Bollinger bar on the Motivator Lawn in the Grandstand Enclosure, giving race-goers multiple opportunities to celebrate their successes in style with the range of Bollinger Champagnes.

The winning owner of each race during the Royal Meeting is presented with a celebratory bottle of Bollinger Champagne with which to toast their success.

Over the past 300 years, Ascot has established itself as a national institution; with Royal Ascot becoming the centrepiece of the British social calendar and the ultimate stage for the best racehorses in the world.

THE BOLLINGER EVERYMAN WODEHOUSE PRIZE

The Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize sponsored by Champagne Bollinger is the UK's only literary award for comic literature.

The Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize for Comic Fiction is given annually to the book considered to best capture the comic spirit of PG Wodehouse. The winner of the prize is announced every year at the Hay Festival of Literature & Arts, a now worldwide famous annual literature festival held in Hay-on-Wye, Wales in May.

In 2016 for the first time in the prize's history, it has been awarded to two authors: Paul Murray for his novel The Mark and the Void (Hamish Hamilton, Penguin), and Hannah Rotschild for The Improbability of Love (Bloomsbury).

Like all previous prize winners, they were awarded a Jeroboam of Bollinger Special Cuvée and… a pig!
