Assembly

The PN VZ15 champagne is a blend with a unique taste, showcasing the specific characteristics of the Verzenay terroir

PN VZ 15 is an assembly of 100% Pinot Noir, predominantly from the Verzenay cru. It is blended with other villages on the Montage de Reims, such as Aÿ, Bouzy and Tauxières. 2015 is the foundation of the blend but the reserve wines contribute to the wine’s exceptional aromatic intensity, largely thanks to the use of Pinot Noirs aged in magnums for almost 10 years. Its ageing period in the cellar is twice as long as required by appellation. The dosage is 7 grams per litre.

Sensations

The elegance and vivacity of Pinot Noir from Verzenay

The 2015 vintage was remarkable in Champagne and especially for Pinot Noir. The significant proportion of Verzenay in this edition’s blend brings the characteristics of the Pinot Noirs grown in this terroir to the wine: depth, elegance and tension with a saline finish.

To the eye

Delicate, with gold glints.

To the nose

The wine opens with aromas of cherry stone, jam-infused fruit and dried fig. The rich, complex nose then develops towards toasted, baked notes, as well as aromas of elderflower and pear.

On the palate

The generous fruit is combined with mouth-watering vivacity and releases peach and apricot flavours in the mouth, enhanced with hazelnut and acacia blossom notes. It finishes with a wonderful lively aromatic note reminiscent of yuzu.
