The venue

Maison Bollinger takes up residence in Astor House

For its debut, Maison Bollinger moved into New York’s iconic Astor House. Over three floors, the house has been transformed to reflect Champagne Bollinger and its Art de Vivre, with each room embodying one of the pillars of its unique style.

The Expert room

The workshop of Wine Director, Denis Bunner, has been transported to New York, inviting collectors and wine enthusiasts to attend personalised tastings of Champagne Bollinger’s new releases, including PN AYC18, La Côte aux Enfants Champagne 2013, and R.D. 2008. In this way, Denis Bunner offers guests a unique opportunity to discover the technical skill and expertise behind each of his rare cuvées.

A reimagined cabinet of curiosities and museum of family mementos, the Gallery will display old photographs, books, written notes, adverts and various other objects from the past.

Cooperage

The last in-house cooperage in Champagne also made the journey to America. This is where Gaël Chaunut, cooper at Maison Bollinger, reveals the talent and tremendous skill that goes into repairing and caring for the Maison’s 4,000 old oak barrels. This workshop not only offers unique insight into a cooper’s expertise, but it also reveals the crucial role that both oak and barrels play in the ageing process of Maison Bollinger’s champagnes, in an interactive environment.
