Assembly
A Champagne marked by its dense, complex dimension.
La Côte aux Enfants Champagne is a wine composed of 100% Grand Cru pinot noir, from the single La Côte aux Enfants plot. This champagne has been cellar aged with natural cork for twice as long as required by appellation. Dosage is moderate, 6 grams per litre.

Sensations
A great wine year, promising a warm and exceptionally high quality 2015 vintage!
The 2015 vintage is the result of an outstanding year. A mild and rainy winter gave way to a clement early spring, eliminating any risk of frost. April, marked by record levels of sunshine – second only to 2007 – encouraged bud burst in line with the ten-year average. The weather in May and June remained favorable, with high temperatures leading into a hot, dry summer. Flowering took place under ideal conditions, though the lack of rain caused significant water stress, limiting vegetative growth and producing small, very concentrated grapes.

To the eye
A golden yellow color

To the nose
The nose opens with ripe fruit aromas of peach, pear, and quince mingled with notes of dried fruits evocative of fig and apricot. Woven into this ensemble are scents of citrus, particularly bergamot, and touches of marzipan and candied citrus bring a touch of patisserie underlined by notes of acacia honey and cedar.

On the palate
Exceptionally smooth on the palate with pronounced smoky notes. This is an opulent and creamy wine underlined by beautiful salinity. Hints of citrus peel bring a perfectly balanced bitterness, adding complexity to the finished wine.

Our perfect food pairings
